PD Dr. Verina Wild is deputy director of the Institute of Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (LMU). Since April 2018 she leads the BMBF research group “META – mHealth: Ethical, legal and social aspects in the technological age”. Her research interests are ethics of mobile Health technology (mHealth); health of migrants and ethics; justice in health; the concept of vulnerability in health; and methods in ethical decision-making in public health policy and practice.
She wrote her “Habilitation” with the title “Justice and Vulnerability in Bioethics” at the University of Zurich where she held a position as Senior Teaching and Research Associate from 2008-2016 at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine. From 2008 – 2010 she was member of the steering group for the Clinical Ethics Committee at the University Hospital Zurich and has intermittently served as Clinical Ethicist.
