Nina Streeck is a PhD student at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine since September 2013. In affiliation with the project „The wish to die in persons with serious illness“ (funded by the SNSF as part of the National Research Programme 67 „End of life“) she is preparing a PhD thesis on dying ideals and concepts of the good death.
In addition to her doctoral research, Nina is a research assistant at the Chair for Spiritual Care, Department of Theology, University of Zurich. Previously, she worked as a columnist and editor for the science pages of the Swiss weekly newspaper NZZ am Sonntag where she primarily covered social sciences and the humanities (2012-2015). Above that, she worked as an editor for the Swiss weekly magazine Weltwoche (2004- 2006) and the business magazine Bilanz (2002-2004). During and after her studies of philosophy at the School of Philosophy in Munich (2006-2008) and theology at the University of Munich (2006-2011) she was a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Catholic Theology. In addition, she holds a Lizenziat degree in economics from the University of Zurich.
